site breaking?

Something broke on my site so now some of my image archive scripts aren’t working right. Hopefully I will be able to figure out a fix. Not sure what the problem is, there was a server security announcement, so maybe one of my PHP scripts got borked.

I haven’t been really happy with the site in a long time so maybe it’s time to renew. Winter is always a good time to build a new site.

Killigans CD artwork sneek peek

I’ve been working on the artwork for the Killigans new album… using a great tattoo illustration by Tyson Schaffert (owner of Iron Brush Tattoo studio) as the basis for the cover.

Originally I had envisioned the cover as a red/maroon color scheme, but as I’ve been working and listening and reading the lyrics, I think blue is much more appropriate. We’re going to be making the 6 panel Digipack again- the same style as that on the Live at the Zoo Bar CD.

We had some nice photography taken by JJ Dreier, which a few photos will be used as well. I’ll try to post the full artwork, when it’s finalized.

Ben Swift X Eyeskull – New Art 2009

Lincoln, NE, November 6, 2009. Screen Ink is proud to present new work by artist Ben Swift beginning November 6th in their storefront gallery. The exhibit will feature a variety of new artwork by Swift, including paintings, screen-printed posters and fine art prints, watercolor illustrations, and pieces created under the “eyeskull” moniker.

On opening night, in addition to the fine arts on display, several t-shirt designs will be available for “print-on-demand” application on a variety of ready to wear items, or people may bring their own garments to print on. A limited number of “eyeskull” can koozies, buttons, and free stickers will also be available.

Google Analytics + Flash CS4 + AS3

I just finished a Google Analytics + Flash CS4 + AS3 setup and I’d like to impart some help to anyone who is attempting to do the same. It is a *little tricky, and while the documentation is pretty good, it’s still a little tricky.

moving the studio, not much to report. got a camera so now I can make tutorials. or at least video ones. feel like I haven’t painted in weeks but realize it’s only been 4 days. time to get to work!

new watercolors
